As an initiative to practice ‘resolve and restraint’ against the fast spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), PM Modi’s proposed Janta Curfew commences today. The voluntary curfew will be in force from 7 am – 9 pm. It is a ‘self-imposed’ curfew that will carry no legal penalty. Even certain essential supplies like Food, Groceries and Healthcare services will be exempted but rest facilities are requested to remain close.
Nonetheless, in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, we would like to request our citizens to practice ‘social-distancing’ and stay in the home to avoid any social activity outdoors and further increase the risk of spreading the virus.
The purpose of the Curfew
Janta Curfew may not be the perfect solution. Yet, it is an effective way that will help our Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, Cleaning staff and every Medical personnel out there to carry on their duties and restrain control on the fast-spreading calamity. A few days back in his public addressing speech, prime minister Modi also urged people to show appreciation today at 5 pm (IST) by standing in respective balconies, terraces and blow conch, ring bells or clap hands to show due to appreciation for all those who are risking their lives for you and your families.
This article is to show you glimpses of such collective effort made by individuals who are not recognized but are showing great valor, generosity and selfless heroism. This article will show you how our heroes out there are putting their lives on risk just so that they can save this nation. They are our daily Batman and Superman who go unnoticed. Warriors that world really deserves.
The struggle is real and appreciation is well deserved

24/7 Airports Screening by Doctors, Nurses, and entire medical staff
Health officials including Doctors and Nurses are spending their entire day and nights at airports to make sure absolute measures are taken. Recently every airport from all over the country is also keeping heavy scale thermal scanners to make sure that none of the infected individuals is passed without quarantine.
Immediate evacuation services for the students and people stuck in other countries by Government authorities
As the grip of Coronavirus tightens, India had to sent their doctors to various places in the world to rescue fellow Indians. We are thankful for the officials for arranging necessary medical supplies to rescue our people stranded in other infected parts of the world and most importantly, we are very thankful for the Doctors and medical team to have taken the risk to fly out to the worst-hit countries. Here are some compilations for the same:
Dr. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of India reported the successful evacuation of 234 Indians from Iran which has also taken the worst hit from the Coronavirus. There are plenty more such evacuation which took place recently from India.
This 185 Umrah Pilgrims From Jeddah have been successfully evacuated back To Mumbai due to rising Coronavirus tensions.
Just Today, all the Indian citizens including students who were stranded off in Italy have been flown back to India. Due to a shortage of medical facilities and supplies in a massive outbreak of Coronavirus, Indian doctors and the medical teams took along the entire medical lab in the flight to make sure that they are provided with all needed care. Today they have reached back to the country and this is what expression of relief and expression of finally belonging to a home looks like:
There are many more uplifting stories of medical officials that are happening at every corner of this nation. This shows the efforts that everyone is putting behind rescuing you, Doctors and nurses are working 24/7 and are sacrificing their lives to control this outbreak.
Delhi airport is the key airport in the country is seeing the surge of passengers compared to other airports. But the situation is so orderly maintained and taken care of. The involvement of public servants to maintain hygiene and care
One battle is fought on the medical front and another battle that India is fighting is to maintain the order of hygiene through sanitization. These are the heroes who are working on and off the streets taking care of every public property that we use daily. They are making sure that trains and buses you board are virus-free, the parks where your children play and the roads where you go to work are all properly sanitized.
While the public observes ‘Janta Curfew’ government officials and public servants are responsibly serving the nation. They are taking the utmost care in sanitizing every corner of the cities. You might forget their faces in the coming days as the nation recovers from the infection.
But let’s not forget that it is our duty to support them by respecting government advisories, by respecting the guidelines that doctors, by donating to these volunteers who are picking up rubbish, cleaning trains and sanitizing streets while you sit inside the house and practice restrain.
Your responsibility as Citizens – We desperately need good Samaritans
In difficult times like this, the best you can do is to cooperate with the officials and public workers. Calling off holiday plans or the wedding parties is not fretting as much as resources that are spent behind treating Coronavirus diseases. Today doctors and police are only asking for restraint from citizens, such restrain that can enable them to work efficiently and under full power.
If you cannot control traveling, if you cannot restrain from attending social functions, if you irresponsibly go outside to gather people and do workout/play outdoors, if you are fighting with doctors and police at the airports without respecting their immense hard work, you are not helping the resolve – resolve to make India Coronavirus free.
Well, so far we are doing really well in keeping our promises. Today we are following what doctors are willing us to do. Today we are united against the common enemy. Let us stay vigilant and help each other in times of need.
A big and loud thank to all the doctors, nurses, police and all superheroes that we are not able to mention here, and those who are working day and night for this country. This nation and the world are forever indebted to you. Thank you very much.
